How Do You Seek God?
The question is asked, “How do you seek God?” The answer is given by God in Romans 3:10-11. There is no one who seeks God, there is no one who understands. Understands what? How to seek God? Yes! There is no one who does good. Good for who, Sam, Bill, Pete or David? No! There is no one who does good for God. Why? Because that is how you seek Him.
Matthew 5:16 says, that God is glorified by good works done on His behalf and that is how a true doer of God’s word lets his light shine before men. We overcome by keeping Jesus Christ’s works of love and charity (Rev. 2:26). That is how we seek for glory and honor and immortality (Rom. 2:7). That is how the Lord blesses us (Rom. 2:6). Glory and honor to everyone who does good for God (Rom. 2:10).
Doing good works for God is how you repent daily and turn to Him and have the veil removed from your eyes (2 Cor. 3:16). Good works have always been necessary for repentance, the Apostle Paul says (Acts 26:20). Good works is not only how you seek God, but how you continually get His attention. Be sure that all the works of love you do in word or in deed are done in the name of Jesus Christ for the glory of the Father (Col. 3:17). Then, study the Scriptures by subject daily, and understand and put them into action in your daily life for God. That is how you truly seek God. That is how you seek the kingdom, and that is how the kingdom within is entered (Matt. 6:33; 5:20; 2 Peter 1:11; Luke 17:21 King James Version).
